Abstract:
Satellite remote sensing will be used to provide support for the North Atlantic study in the Marine Productivity programme, in particular for the seagoing activities of the programme. In addition, it is proposed to use methods already in use in this laboratory to estimate primary production from SeaWiFS images. Satellite-based estimates will be verified and validated by participation in the April / May 2002 cruise planned as part of the Thematic programme.
