Abstract:
The purpose of this proposal is to develop methods for propagating uncertainty between scales and systems as a means of producing probabilistic regional climate forecasts and undertaking probabilistic Earth System Modelling. These aims can only be achieved using the novel methods of e-science. Development of such methods involving both GRID and DataGRID methodologies will form a major aspect of the work and will lead to procedures available for use more widely in the environmental sciences.
