Biogeochemical Cycles
Population Ecology
Abstract:
Stable isotope analysis will be used to determine the temperature at which different parts of shell of hydrothermal gastropods were laid down. This data will be used in relation to video evidence to determine the micro-ecology of vent gastropods in relation to temperature and identify if the larva of vent gastropods develop in ambient seawater or within vent fluids.
