- Abstract:
- We shall develop and run a 6-day immersive training course in Enterprise and Environment, tailored for doctoral research students in environmental science. The course will provide an advanced and focussed training in Corporate Environmental Management, Sustainable Finance, Environmental Economics, Markets and Policy. This new course will build on a successful 2-week pilot course that we developed and ran for environmental sciencee research students last year, that was developed and delivered in partnership with Oxford's Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. The course will be delivered by an experienced team of researchers and practitioners, with experience of working at high levels in policy, commerce and government, and will help to inform and inspire the next generation of environmental scientists to work with business to help solve pressing environmental problems (including sustainable use of natural resources; resilience to environmental hazards; affordable energy and the transition to a low carbon economy), and to help grow our world-leading environmental science sector.
