- Digital copies of Ionospheric data 1957 - 1991: The asset created will be digital whole roll scans of data stored on 35mm film, taken by the UK ionospheric monitoring programme between 1957 and 1991; and the necessary software to extract individual records from the digitised copy. The films are part of a larger film archive (~27,000 rolls) held by the UK Solar System Data Centre in its archive at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. This secures and improves access to a valuable environmental data resource including 11 severe space weather events.
